County Tipperary Chamber along with event sponsors ABP Foods, Limerick Institute of Technology and media partner Tipp FM, has launched its 2018 County Tipperary Business Awards. The awards, which recognize outstanding achievement in business in County Tipperary, will be announced at a Black Tie Gala Dinner held in the Clonmel Park Hotel on Friday the 19th of October 2018. Sponsors include Abbott Vascular, Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Tipperary County Council, Tipperary Local Enterprise Office, Tipperary Skillnet, Allied Irish Bank and Bank of Ireland.

John Magnier owns both Coolmore Stud and Ballydoyle Racing Stables in Co. Tipperary and is a significant employer in the county, employing approximately one thousand people. John Magnier had this to say upon receiving his award in 2017, “This is a humbling experience for us and I mean ‘us’ as I accept this award on behalf of everybody in Coolmore and Ballydoyle. It means so much to us when we get this at home from all of you. This area benefits greatly from foreign investment but that foreign investment doesn’t have to stay here. In our case we have offices around the world but we encourage people to come here and we want our headquarters here.
