Nenagh Municipal District offers a range of property solutions to meet the needs of FDI and indigenous rms including a land bank zoned for industrial development, enterprise and commercial venture space in addition to a unique Green Enterprise Park located in Cloughjordan in the midst of an eco-village.
The Council acquired 21.5 hectares (53 acres approx) of serviced development land at Stereame in 2016. This will provide for the consolidation and possible future expansion of the First Data Research and Development Centre. The lands will also be able to accommodate any related commercial/ technological developments. A Master Plan is currently being prepared for the development of the lands – this will include Housing, Commercial, Technological and Recreational uses.
The main concentration of industry in Nenagh Town is located at Gortlandroe and Lisbunny Industrial Estates. These lands are strategically located on the edge of town, with
good access to the M7 Motorway. The established nature of development provides opportunities for further expansion and diverse cation of uses.

Nenagh Town has a higher than average workforce involved in manufacturing industry with almost 22% of the workforce employed in the sector, compared with an average of 18% for the northern part of Tipperary and a 12% national average.

Nenagh has access to a wide pool of third level students due to its proximity to Limerick and its strategic location within the Mid-West Region.
Limerick, which is 35 minutes from Nenagh Town, is home to Limerick Institute of Technology and the University of Limerick – an internationally focussed university with a student population of 13,000 and home to Europe’s largest student internship programme while also housing Ireland’s only on-campus live trading floor. UL is very much to the fore in R&D with a large number of academic-industry collaborations with particular strengths in Materials, Manufacturing, ICT, Applied Mathematics and Health.
Limerick Institute of Technology is unique in offering enterprise incubation facilities co-located with each of its campuses at Limerick, Ennis, Thurles and Clonmel. LIT caters for craft apprentices and adult and continuing education.

Nenagh offers a rich living environment with high quality recreational, cultural, sporting and educational facilities.
